The Task

Designing this tiny house for our client was an exciting challenging task that required careful planning and attention to detail. The project involved working closely with the client to understand their needs and preferences and to create a customized design that met their unique requirements. The task of designing a tiny house requires unique constraints due to the size limitation, the space limitation and ensuring the design meets all City zoning requirements.

The Solution

The solution involved a careful balance of creativity, functionality and affordability. The sloping roof with high windows in the living area created a very unique and attractive interior space with lots of natural lighting. The small space felt much larger due to the high sloping ceiling. With space limitations, the basement was designed to accommodate the bedroom however extra high ceilings and large windows provided for a very comfortable space. The tiny house was built using insulated concrete forms (ICF) which increased insulation and energy efficiency.

The Result

The result of the tiny house design project is a fully customized, functional and an aesthetically pleasing living space that met the client’s unique needs and preferences. The tiny house was designed to maximize the use of space and incorporate all the necessary features and amenities. During the design process, we worked closely with the client to ensure it was practical and cost effective. It provides an additional income and makes the property much more valuable.
